The lists of participants of CSI5*W and CSI2* has been published

Some 180 horses and a hundred riders, representing twenty-four countries, will take part in the 35th edition of the International Show Jumping Competition of La Coruna, which will be held from December 8th to 10th at Casas Novas Equestrian Center.

The best riders of the moment will participate in the CSI5*W competitions. For example, German rider Daniel Deusser and French rider Julien Epaillard, who both obtained greats results in the last outdoor equestrian conquest of the international calendar, which was hold last weekend in Paris.

The current olympic bronze medal in the team modality, Daniel Deusser, won yesterday in the Grand Prix, riding Cornet d'Amour, with which he will also participate in the CSI5* W of La Coruna. Also, Deusser got recently 5th position in the last competition of the World Cup celebrated in Madrid.

Meanwhile, Julien Epaillard with Cristallo A LM won the Longines Speed ​​Challenge on Friday, a vibrant test of speed. Because of that, the French is one of the favorites in Casas Novas, since he has already won the Grand Prix of La Coruna twice. The first time was in the winter edition of 2006 and the second in the summer edition of 2015.

Another of the outstanding riders will be the German Ludger Beerbaum, who along with Deusser, got bronze medal for teams representing his country in the last Olympic Games in Rio. Beerbaum was third in the first World Cup event held at Casas Novas last year and his goal for 2018 is to try to qualify for the final in Paris. "I really want to compete in La Coruna to try to win some points for qualifying", says the four-time Olympic Champion, who assures it is a pleasure for him to compete in Casas Novas and "enjoy a warm and at the same time exciting atmosphere".

The Dutchman Maikel Van der Vleuten, fifth in the international ranking and Gold medal by teams in the last World Equestrian Games held in Normandy, is another of the stars. As well as the Irish Denis Lynch, current European Team Champion.

THE 7 BEST SPANISH RIDERS 

There will be Spanish representation in the CSI5* W competitions with distinguished riders and amazons. There will be seven national participants, beginning by Sergio Álvarez Moya (1st in the national ranking), Manuel Fernández Saro (2nd), Eduardo Álvarez Aznar (3rd), Paola Amilibia (4th and current National Champion), Pilar Lucrecia Cordón (5th), Gerardo Menéndez (6th) and Julio Arias (8th), who arrives at the stage of the World Cup in La Coruna after achieving the best Spanish result in the previous round of the league, celebrated in Madrid. In addition to try to win all the trophies, our riders will also compete for a special prize, the Tyco Trophy to the Spanish best placed rider in the Longines Grand Prix on Saturday.
