Success at the XXXVI CSI La Coruna
Great success of the XXXVI Edition CSI4* A Coruna, hosted this last weekend in the Casas Novas horseriding centre. The contest, a referent for fans and proffesionals, has congregated hundreds of visitors during the three days of competition to enjoy de best equestrian spectacle.
GREAT INTERNATIONAL SHOW JUMPING ONE MORE YEAR
60 athletes from 17 nationalities and 129 horses have competed this weekend in Casas Novas delighting watchers with the highest level.
On Friday, one of the most appreciated horsemen in A Coruña, the Dutch, Eric Van der Vleuten, extended his love story with Casas Novas winning the Dascher Trophy riding Wunschkind with a time of 42.74 seconds. The rider already won the Massimo Dutti Trophy the last winter edition and also did not disappoint this time.
On Saturday fans could enjoy one of the most awaited tests, the Longines Trophy that took the breath away of the public until the end with in a memorable afternoon for the French riders. Guillaume Foutrier won the Tropy in a hectic winning round with no penalties and a time of 74.72 seconds.
The best closure came with CaixaBank Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon. With great weather, the riders enjoyed the last of the tests. A hard show led by the Spaniard Mikel Aizpurua until the end when the French Alexis Deroubaix finally completed a better course with no penalties in a time of 51.08 seconds. Mikel Aizpurua won the Tyco Trophy for the best spaniard.
In adittion, Casas Novas is much more than a Show jumping contest as it could be seen again this edition. Dozens of families have enjoyed the multiple leisure possibilities offered along the weekend, such as the Little Riders Corner for the kids, jazz concerts and also betting during the show.
POSITIVE IMPACT IN LA CORUNA
Again this summer the riding contest has had a postive economic impact. The Hotel occupancy has reached around 160 rooms in A Coruna and Arteixo, occupied by riders, companions, sponsors, judges and the organization staff.
The competition also increased restaurants reservations and visits to the city of A Coruna, because of the big attendance to the show.
HORSE RIDING THIS WEEK IN TELEDEPORTE
For those who have not been able to attend this summer meeting at the Casas Novas facilities, Teledeporte will retransmit the most important classes throughout this week. On Wednesday, July 25th, you will be able to enjoy the Longines Trophy at 16:05 and on Thursday 26, at 19:15, we will feel the adrenaline of the Grand Prix CaixaBank- Tyco Trophy.
Over the next few weeks, these classes will be reissued in international channels such as Class Horse TV, Horse & Country y Country TV.
THE BEST RIDERS OF THE WORLD WILL COME BACK SOON IN CASAS NOVAS
Little will have to wait the Galician public to receive again the equestrian stars. In December Larín will once again be filled with horses for the long awaited World Cup of Jumping, that will soften the arrival of winter and Christmas.
