Pablo Valle and Alejandro Gutiérrez repeat their success and secure yet another spot in the podium

This morning Pablo Valle Espinedo achieved the first double of victories of the Coruña International Jumping Competition, when he climbed to the top of the podium in the 2 * Lallier Trophy, with Tresor de Varende. A test in which Alejandro Álvarez Gutiérrez ratified his great moment to achieve his third podium this weekend, this time with Little Chap S. To complete the list of winners was Ignacio Rico from Santiago, with Voyelle du Lesme.

Just like yesterday, the rider from Madrid entered the arena in the final part of the event and stopped the clock in 24.25 seconds, almost a second ahead of the Ignacio Rico mark (25.15). An unstoppable Alejandro Álvarez challenged the clock in his second round, which was the last of the trophy, but stayed in 25.07 seconds, behind Valle and relegating Ignacio Rico to the third place.

Both Pablo Valle and Alejandro Álvarez can leave satisfied with their performance in La Coruña. The Alcobendas have raised two trophies, the Lallier of today and the Marquis de Riscal of yesterday. For his part, the Spaniard has taken the podium in all the events he has competed in: first in the Lexus Trophy on Saturday and second in the Inaugural Trophy and in the Lallier today.

WHAT AN EPIC DAY, INCLUDING TWO JUMP OFFS

Thus began the third and final day of CSI5 * -W / 2 * A Coruña that has been held since last Friday. It is the most nerve wracking day, both for the level of the competition and for the amount of the prizes to be awarded: € 430,000 in total of which € 300,000 only in the Longines FEI World Cup Grand Prix - CaixaBank Trophy. Predictably, the best entry will also be recorded at the Casas Novas Equestrian Center, which where the stands were bustling with a huge crowd the previous two days. And it is that not every day you have the opportunity to see a World Cup event, with the best riders of the equestrian panorama and their extraordinary horses fighting against the clock and obstacles. In addition, the paths of the Galician event bear the seal of Santiago Varela, who will be the track manager at the Tokyo Olympics.

However, it will not be necessary to wait until 5:00 p.m. to watch some fantastic show jumping on the Coruna winter track. At 11 in the morning, the Prosegur Trophy, of the 5 * competition, quotes many of the great international names on the track, in a test with obstacles of 1.50 meters high under scale A with timeless jump off. The prizes amount to 95,000 euros.

For its part, the peak moment of the 2 * competition will be at 13:45, with the Sensormatic Grand Prix. The pairs will face a circuit with obstacles of 1.45 meters in which they will try to qualify for the jump off.
