It was with his mare Airline R, with whom he risked enough to snatch victory from Paloma Jiménez-Carmona. The time of Ismael, 26.71 seconds, improved the 27.38 of the Andalusian rider and Sherie Star, who until the last moment seemed to be the winning pair. Both Ismael and Paloma come to make a great CSI Santander, so it was expected that they would arrive strong in A Coruña.
They were followed, on an entirely Spanish podium, by JoséFumero -also canary- and Vicomte de La Cour, recently acquired horse for the rider of Tenerife, who stayed only 3 hundredths of equaling the time of Paloma. The fourth place was also for García Roque, in this case with Iron Man.
