Casas Novas concluded this Sunday a new edition of the CSI 1* A Coruña after a weekend full of excitement for horse riding fans.

The last day of the 1* category began with the Movistar Trophy, a time trial in two phases with heights of 1.30m. The public of Casas Novas was able to enjoy a new great performance by Javier González Fraga, alias “Fino”, who secured first place after a great jump alongside Sonic Jgf.

The Galician rider collected the trophy from the hands of Jose Luis Cabado, commercial representative of Major Accounts of Telefónica, thus closing an incredible weekend for him in Casas Novas.

The second fastest in this first test on Sunday was the American Alexandra Crown, together with Starlett, while the third best time was achieved by the Spanish rider, Celia Cobo Terán, forming a duo with Kristal´s Beauty B.
When the clock struck 2:00 p.m., the public filled the stands of the venue, eagerly awaiting the great test of the category, the Prosegur Security Grand Prix.

22 pairs took part in the great test, of which 9 managed to qualify for the jump-off round.

After the jump-off, the French national anthem was played in Casas Novas, certifying the victory of Antoine Ermann and Delirium Zoetendaele Z, this duo finished the course in 33.58 seconds. The French rider collected the prize from Javier Martín Azcano, Director of Technology Spain, Prosegur Security.

The podium of the CSI 1* Grand Prix was completed by two Spanish riders, the second best time was for Esther Barroso Torio and Baraka Louvo, with 38.63 seconds, while third place in this competition was, again, for Celia Cobo Terán, this time with Alto du Roc. The young 17-year-old rider is one of the great promises of the national equestrian world and she proved it by closing a great participation in this final day by getting on the podium in the two tests of the day.

The final touch that will complete this edition of the CSI Casas Novas will take place from 5:00 p.m. with the Longines FEI Grand Prix World Cup Casas Novas, in which we will be able to enjoy the performance of great teams, such as the one formed by Henrik von Eckermann and King Edward, or Maikel van der Vleuten and Beauville Z N.O.P, currently numbers 1 and 2 in the FEI team ranking.
