Starting this Friday, December 5th, the Casas Novas Equestrian Center will draw the full attention of show-jumping enthusiasts as it hosts a new edition of the International Jumping Competition, held within the framework of the FEI Jumping World Cup.

Over the weekend, international riders—both men and women—will go head-to-head in a range of 1-star and 5-star classes. Just days before the action begins, the names of the Spanish riders competing in A Coruña have already been confirmed.

Among them stands out Eduardo Álvarez Aznar. The Madrid-born rider is a regular presence at top-level international events. A three-time Olympian and regarded as one of the country’s finest show-jumpers, Eduardo arrives at Casas Novas with high expectations of delivering a strong performance.

Joining him is another rider who consistently attracts great interest from the public at this kind of competition: Armando Trapote. Forming a seasoned and reliable partnership with Tornado VS, Armando is in excellent form after winning the Maeza Grand Prix this summer and competing in prestigious 5-star shows such as Rome and Hamburg.

Another of Spain’s Olympians in Paris 2024, Sergio Álvarez Moya, an experienced rider with an extensive international résumé—will also be competing at Casas Novas.

The national line-up in the CSI 5* is completed by riders such as Iván Serrano Sáez, local rider Jesús Baamonde, Teresa Blázquez Abascal, Imma Roquet, Manuel Fernández Saro, Jesús Garmendia, and Pello Elorduy.
