Carlos Lopez Wins Again In Casas Novas
The first 5* competition left a great impression to the viewers in the indoor track of Casas Novas. A total of 46 horsemen and women were competing under table A against the clock without jump and a height of 1.45 metres, the competition was truly tight and hard-fought.
Eventually, the winner was the rider from Colombia Carlos López, recent winner of the World Cup in Madrid. Starting in twentieth position, López drew a loud applause from the public, riding Zephyr II with a time of 60,68 seconds without penalties.
Second position was for the Spanish Eduardo Álvarez Aznar riding Ryanair Riverland, which almost won because only a second separated him from Carlos López. The podium was completed by the French Olivier Robert and his horse Quenelle du Py, with a time 62.72 seconds without penalty.
