Riders Prepared For The First Day Of Competition Of CSI 5 *
Everything is ready for the start of the XXVII International Jumping Show 5* A Coruña. The city is welcoming these days the most talented riders and horses of the World in the most important Equestrian Competition taking place in Spain during December.
Thursday has been the day for free training, riders have test the competition arena and horses have passed the Veterinary Inspection. Along the morning it has been possible to see participants riding at the same course where tomorrow is going to take place the CSI 5*/2* Casas Novas. The covered arena was the meeting point for most riders and horses that have taken advantage of their first journey at the Center to train.
Almost 150 horses have passed the Veterinarian Inspection on Thursday afternoon, a test that states their perfect physical state in order to compete at this high-level sports event. Furthermore, animals have to be perfectly identified and with all papers in order.
FIRST DAY OF COMPETITION
The competition will start tomorrow at 12.30 with the Inaugural Trophy with fault and time scale and a maximum height of 1.30 meters. At 15.15 hours will take place the Mostoles Industrial Trophy with two phases against the clock and a height of 1.40 meters.
The competition continues at 18.00, with the celebration of the Warsteiner Trophy with fault and time scale and height of1.45 meters. The big test of the day will be the NH Hotels Trophy that will take place at 20.30 with jump off and a maximum height of 1.50 meters that has a prize amount of 89,000 €.
RELEVANT DETAILS
Among the best-known horsemen and women who will attend the show during the weekend stands out the Belgian Philippe le Jeune, current world champion, the Spanish Sergio Alvarez Moya and the American Kent Farrington . In addition, the Olympics Steve Guerdat and Gerco Schroder, gold and silver respectively, will also compete in Casas Novas jumping show.
Admission to the event is free with invitation and these are already shared out at the Tourism Information Office of Maria Pita in A Coruña, the Municipal Tourism Bureau of Arteixo and at the Equestrian Centre .
