Billot wins the Marques de Riscal Trophy

Mathieu Billot won the duel with Frenchman Patrice Delaveau winning the Marqués de Riscal Trophy in Casas Novas. A time of 55.75 seconds with Vedette Z brought him to the first place. First out on the arena, the German Tobias Meyer with Indora, performed a clear round with a time of 57.93 seconds. Patrice Delaveau, riding Uthope de la Roque, came eleventh with determination and beat Meyer, lowering the clock in more than one second (56.89). But the last word was not said until the Frenchman Mathieu Billot, with Vedette Z, did a great course with a time of 55'75 ''. Super performance of Delaveau, who has been in all the prize giving ceremonies where he has participated. Sergio Alvarez Moya, a member of the Spanish Olympic team and best Spanish in the Longines FEI ranking, went through the class riding Unicstar L'Aumone and made the best time, which would have placed him leader (57.63 ''), but a fault at the end of the course brought him away of the first place.
