Sergio Alvarez Moya, Best Spanish Rider In The Longines Trophy

CONOR SWAIL, WINNER OF THE LONGINES TROPHY Conor Swail (Ireland) was the winner of the Longines Trophy with his horse Landsdowne, finishing the course in just 44.25 seconds. Meanwhile, the pair formed by the Chilean Samuel Parot and Quik du Pottier took the second place with a time of 44.75 seconds. The third position was for the rider from Brazil Bernando Alves, who achieved the third position with his horse Starling 7 with a time of 46.23 seconds. Sergio Álvarez Moya made a good time of 46.80 seconds, but it wasn’t enough for been in the podium and finally took the fourth place. The other Spanish rider, Manuel Añón, made four penalties that took him to the ninth position. Besides, Marqués de Riscal delivered a trophy for the best Spanish rider of the day, which was Sergio Álvarez Moya. LEON THIJSEN WINS A TIGHT LA CAIXA TROPHY AT CASAS NOVAS On the second day of CSI 4* Casas Novas, the rider from Netherlands Leon Thijsen, with his horse Quintera, has won the La Caixa Trophy in a time of just 52.74 seconds. In second place, the pair formed by the Spanish Sergio Álvarez Moya and his horse Abab Van Het Molenhof was very close from the winner of the event, making a time of 53.22 seconds. The third place was for the French rider Julien Epaillard, who registered a mark of 53.77 seconds with his horse Rackel Chavannaise. KARIM ELZOGHBY TAKES THE WIN AT PORSCHE TROPHY WITH AN ESPECTACULAR PERFORMANCE Karim Elzoghby is the winner of the Porsche Trophy, in the second day of competition at CSI 4* Casas Novas. The rider from Egypt has taken the victory with authority, spending only 51.68 seconds with his horse Symphonie de Fantelle. Elzoghby was followed by the pair formed by Laura Renwick and her horse Beluga, who won yesterday in the Opening Trophy. The third place has been occupied by Hani Bisharat (Jordan) and his horse Atleet, repeating the third position he achieved yesterday. SCHEDULE FOR TOMORROW Tests will begin on Sunday at 11.30 h with the Eroski Trophy. Afterwards, at 13.45 h, the Prosegur Trophy will be played. Finally, starting at 17.00 h, the Casas Novas Grand Prix will be held as the most important test of the weekend, consisting of two rounds without jump off. In the first one all participants will take part, but in the second only 25% of them will be able to access in the next qualification. There will be an additional award called Tyco Trophy, for the best Spanish rider of the day.
