Promising young international equestrian talents present at Casas Novas
The international competition has some of the world's most outstanding U-25 riders on its roster
There is less and less time left for the start of a new edition of the CSI Casas Novas, one of the most awaited competitions of the international circuit, both for riders and horsewomen, as well as for the equestrian enthusiast.
On December 6th, 7th and 8th, the Casas Novas Equestrian Center, located in Arteixo, will host the different tests corresponding to the CSI 5*W and CSI 1*, in which we will be able to enjoy the best riders and horsewomen of the moment.
In the competition of the highest category of the CSI 5* in Casas Novas, we highlight several young promises of equestrian sport, who come to the city of A Coruña with the aim of taking a step further in their careers and consolidate in the international scene.
One of the names to watch is Diego Ramos, the local rider and the only Spanish U-25 rider to participate in this 5-star category. After his outstanding second place in the Gran Premio Casas Novas in the CSI 4* category this summer, Diego will return to compete in his homeland, supported by his people, and is expected to continue to offer a high quality level.
Also on the list is Michael Pender, Irish rider, current runner-up in the U-25 ranking and number 41 in the FEI ranking. Considered one of the great promises of the sport, Pender generates great expectation for his potential, and many eyes will be on his performance during the CSI 5*W A Coruña, after his good performances last weekend at the CSI 5*W Madrid.
Jeanne Sadran, a 23-year-old French rider, is another young rider who promises to give a lot to talk about. She is ranked 57th in the FEI ranking and fourth in the U-25, so she comes to Casas Novas with the intention of scoring points to climb positions in this ranking.
In addition to them, completing the list of U-25 participants in the 5-star category are Edouard Schmitz (Swiss, tenth in the U-25 ranking), Thibaut Philippaerts (Belgian, 27th in the U-25), Jennifer Hochstaedter (Liechtensteinian, 24th in the U-25) and Íñigo López de la Osa (Spanish based in Monaco), who will also seek to stand out and make their mark in this top category competition.
In addition, it is worth mentioning in the CSI 1* category the presence of the Cantabrian rider Celia Cobo, one of the most promising young riders on the national scene.
Fans of this sport who come to Casas Novas will enjoy a weekend full of spectacle and entertainment in which the new blood of the international equestrian world will seek to establish itself in this competition of the highest level.
