German Deusser Wins La Caixa Trophy
Those riders participating in this competition made a special effort in this occasion. As a matter of fact, the results obtained by the ensembles after the end of it showed how tight it was. Thus, after Deusser, the Belgian rider Gregory Wathelet was second, after having finished the course on the back of Sea Coast Cortes ‘C’ in 51,68 seconds. The Italian Juan carlos García and Paulin finished the course in third position at a time mark of 52,85 seconds. Fourth place was for the ensemble formed by the Australian horsewoman Edwina Alexander -6th in the world rank- and her mare Kisby, who finished in a clear round time of 53,42 seconds. Eventually, fifth position was for Julien Epaillard and Latina Du Pitray at a time mark of 53,71 seconds.
A TIGHT COMPETITION
La Caixa Trophy was especially tight. As a sign of that, there were between the first and second classified. Once finished the competition, the German rider Daniel Deusser, 19th in the World rank, said that “The Trophy was very tight but I’m very happy with the final result”, and wanted to highlight the outstanding form of Vonka A. “With this mare I already got a good result in the International Show in Valencia”, remembered Deusser, one of the favourite riders in Casas Novas when it comes to making bets.
La Caixa Trophy had a difficult moment. The Canadian Tani Zeidler fell off her mount Valdemar but, luckily enough, nothing serious happened in the end.
TELEFONICA GRAND PRIX
Once everything is ready, the Telefónica grand Prix will start in Casas Novas. The importance of this trophy has made different channels get interested in broadcasting it. Those who cannot come to see it in Casas Novas can do it instead on the second channel of the regional television.
The second most important competition of this Show-Jumping, the A Coruña Grand Prix to be held on Sunday, will be broadcast live on channel TVG and on Teledeporte next Friday 16th at 23:30 h. Two other competitions, the La Caixa and Pastor Trophies will be broadcast on the Galician channel.
CASAS NOVAS BRINGS SUNDAY TIMETABLE FORWARD
The organizing committee of this Show-Jumping announced last Friday that the three competitions to be held on Sunday will be brought forward. Thus, the summer edition of CSI Casas Novas will be finished at about 19:00 h so that both participants and the audience have enough time to watch the final match of the World Cup in South-Africa.
