Everything ready to host the 38th edition of CSI Coruña
It has been a year since the French rider Alexis Deroubaix and his "Timon D'aure" were proclaimed winners of the Caixabank Grand Prix at the Casas Novas facilities in A Coruña. One year also, since Mikel Aizpurua won the Sensormatic Trophy as the best Spanish qualified, and seven months since the last edition of CSI Coruña.
Only one day left to start this new thirty-eighth edition, in which, as a novelty this year, a CSI2 * has been included in the program, in addition to the CSI4 *.
The organizing team is already finalizing all the details to host, in a few hours, one of the most claimed competitions in the summer and in which riders of top international level will take part.
Among them, the French rider Julien Epaillard, who comes from winning a class at the LGCT in Chantilly last weekend, the Brazilians Pedro Veniss and Marlon Modolo who after Casas Novas they will travel to Lima to earn a place to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in the famous Pan American Games, the Italian Luca Moneta, Eric Van der Vleuten and the British Guy Williams.
In addition, the young rider Diego Ramos Maneiro, who won with the young team the European Championship last weekend and placed fourth by individual, will also come to compete along with Roi Calviño who also comes to make a good role in Holland.
During the journey the 157 horses that will compete this weekend, have arrived to the facilities and tomorrow, at 3:00 pm, will take place the vet check.
A lot of level this year in Coruña where more than € 290,000 will be distributed in prizes, and where 7 of the 12 classes, will count for the Longines FEI Ranking.
In addition, during the three days of competition you can feel the excitement of the competition also through betting. Casas Novas will donate all the benefits to "La Cocina Económica de A Coruña", an organization founded in 1886 that serves the most disadvantaged people through a food service and spaces dedicated to personal hygiene, of those who do not have sufficient means to obtain it for themselves.
There will be also the traditional jazz concerts by Estrella Galicia 1906 and, on this occasion, the best jazz group of the moment "The Secret Investments" that will come from Barcelona to delight with their music on Saturday at 4:45 pm and on Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
But also the little ones will enjoy during the event thanks to the "Little Riders Corner by Massimo Dutti", a space dedicated to the entertainment of children, where - together with the Teodora Foundation - they will have a great time with workshops and animations. In addition, they will have the possibility to receive their horse riding baptism enjoying a pony ride and spending an unforgettable day. Hours: from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
