Everything almost ready for the XXXVII edition of the CSI La Coruna

Next Friday will kick off the XXXVII edition of the International Jumping Competition of A Coruña, a show that has become a classic of the city and is also the location of a scoring event for the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping. Between Monday and Thursday, all the competing horses will arrive at Casas Novas. Meanwhile, the assembly tasks will intensify throughout the week, especially in the competition area.
Among the best riders of the CSI5* we have to highlight the presence of Germans Ludger Beerbaum, Philipp Weishaupt and Christian Kukuk. The winner of the World Cup of the last edition, the Australian Edwina Tops Alexander, will also jump in the indoor riding arena of Casas Novas. Belgium will also have an important representation, led by young people Olivier Philippaerts and Jos Verlooy.
Among the favorites of Casas Novas will also be winners of tests in previous years such as Julien Epaillard, who comes from winning a test at Madrid Horse Week, or the Dutch Leopold van Asten and Maikel van der Vleuten.
At the beginning of the week, as soon as the casualties and highs are confirmed after the weekend competitions, the CSI organization of A Coruña will publish the full list of riders and horses participating. In total, there will be more than 180 horses and a hundred riders and amazons, adding the lists of the CSI5 * W and the CSI2 *.

THE BEST SPANISH IN CASAS NOVAS
The Spanish representation in the CSI5 * W tests will have its best riders. Seven will be the national participants, led by Eduardo Álvarez Aznar (1st in the national ranking and 24th in the international ranking), Manuel Fernández Saro (2nd), Paola Amilibia (3rd), Gerardo Menéndez (7th and current Spanish Champion ) Julio Arias ( 8th) and Iván Serrano (12th). THREE INTENSIVE COMPETITION DAYS
The sports program of the competition consists of eleven events, six of category CSI2 * and five of CSI5 * W, which will distribute nearly € 800,000 in prizes, of which € 330,000 will be taken by the best winners of the Longines FEI Grand Prix. Mundo - CaixaBank Trophy for Sunday.
The opening day of Friday will be very intense, with two CSI2 * tests, which will be held between 11:30 am and 4:30 pm, and two more of the CSI5 * W, from 5:15 pm to 10:30 pm. The closing day will start early, at 9:00 in the morning with four other tests. The Grand Prix Longines FEI World Cup - CaixaBanks Trophy will be the most important and expected moment of the entire contest.
