Dutchman Maikel van der Vleuten, winner of the Prosegur Trophy in the CSI 5 *
The first test of CSI 5 * on Sunday at Casas Novas highlighted for the tight and fierce classification, with up to seven riders separated by just one second.
The stands, completely full, could see the best riders of the
contest in action, which resulted in a great competitiveness, for the enjoyment of
those present.
The Dutchman Maikel van der Vleuten was first, with a time of 23.88 seconds
with Salomon. The rider already demonstrated yesterday in the Massimo
Dutti Trophy, with a second position, that he comes to compete in Casas Novas.
The Dutchman already knows what it is to win in A Coruña, with
victories in the two previous editions.
The second placed was the Swedish Henrik von Eckermann, who, with just one tenth of a second difference, was close to the victory. His time was 23.95 seconds on the back of Yajamila.
The third place was for a frequent rider of the contest, the also Dutch Leopold
van Asten who, with VDL Groep Miss Untouchable, stopped the clock at
24.09 seconds.
The final of the contest is coming, with the Tyco Grand Prix at 2 pm and the long awaited Longines FEI World Cup Jumping CaixaBank Trophy at 5 pm.
