All set in Casas Novas to start the competition

The best riders on the national and international scene, from 17 countries, will take part in the competition and, later, they could go to the European Championship of Sweden. Horsemen and women with big victories behind them as Julien Epaillard, Abdel Saïd and Gudrun Patteet or faces known as Margarita Vargas, García Obregón Carolina Aresu and José Bono will compete throughout the weekend.

The blocks of Casas Novas already houses the more than 160 horses that will compete during these three days and will be submitted to the veterinary inspection at 3:00 p.m. to certify that they do not suffer any injuries and that their characteristics correspond with those pointed out in their travel guide (equestrian passport). The free training will also be carried out throughout the day.

Throughout the 3 days, there will be a total of 9 events, of which 6 will score for the international ranking and the economic endowment of € 263,000.

But not everything will be competition in Casas Novas. Between the breaks of the competition different jazz concerts will be held by the hand of Estrella Galicia. In addition, the Galician public can enjoy betting, an essential element within the equestrian world and considered an inescapable incentive of the show itself. Casas Novas is no stranger to this fact and will also donate all the benefits to the Cocina Económica of A Coruña. The little ones will also have their space with the Little Riders Corner. Poni Park, Face Painting, storytelling and craft workshop will be at their disposal so that the children can spend an unforgettable afternoon.

“TELEVISIÓN DE GALICIA” WILL BROADCAST THE MOST IMPORTANT TESTS

The local TVG channel, through its second channel and its website, will broadcast the two most important events of the competition. On Saturday they will broadcast the Longines Trophy on TVG2 and, on Sunday, the CaixaBank Grand Prix.

All the tests can be followed live from Casas Novas website (www.csicasasnovas.com) and Oxer Sport (www.oxersport.com).

Admission is free and takes place upon invitation. These can be collected at the Tourist Information Point of María Pita (A Coruña) and Arteixo.
The day of Friday will start at 11.30h with the Marqués de Riscal Troophy, followed by the NH Collection Trophy at 16:45 and the Dachser Trophy at 17:30.
