Tania Moody takes the lead in the Lexus Trophy at the CSI Coruña
The British rider based in the Balearic Islands Tania Moody added a new international triumph to her record, by winning the Lexus Trophy of CSI2 * A Coruña. The Asturian Fidel Dávila almost touched the victory when it seemed that that any pair would be able to go faster than the 57,51 seconds he marked with Altauer de Maeza practically at the beginning of the test. However, the always competitive Moody had the last word. Thus, when there was only four pairs to go out, Moody lowered the winning mark to 57.25 seconds and added another British victory to the one that achieved yesterday Guy Williams in the Eurostars Trophy. She did it with Gitte, a 10-year-old mare she has ridden since March 2018. Tania's first FEI triumph in a 2 * was last February in Valencia.
After the course of Moody, Fidel Dávila still had a second chance, in this case with Take Off du Henner, but a pole went down in the tenth obstacle. Ismael García Roque was third with Iron Man 111 and a time of 58.55 seconds. The Gran Canarian rider also won the the Engel & Völkers Trophy yesterday with Airline R, in addition to the fourth place in the same test with Iron Man 111.
