Gonzalo Anon wins the Prosegur Trophy, first Spanish victory in the contest

Spanish riders were not experiencing the perfect weekend. Even though they were getting good positions, they had not reached a victory until now. In this test, they finally achieved the first triumph and great performances as well. The winner, Gonzalo Añón Suárez, and Eduardo Álvarez Aznar(third) combined a no penalties performance with the speed required by the test.

After the first twelve pairs, the leader was the Dutch Lisa Nooren(daughter of a national youth team manager) with Hocus Pocus de Muze in 61.10 seconds. In the first series of bets of the day arrived the great Spanish performances. Firstly, Eduardo Álvarez Aznar became provisional leader with Mogambo in 60.93 seconds. But, Gonzalo Añón Suárez competed immediately and lowered the clock to 58.99 seconds with AD Amigo B. Already in the second series of bets, the Dutch Gerco Schrödermade another great performance in Casas Novas, managing directly the second place with Glock's Debalia in a time of 60.58 seconds.

The Prosegur Trophy was the second test of the day and the supporters, who almost filled up the stands, enjoyed 36 pairs. The trophy was judged in the scale fault & time with two series of bets.

THE MOST EXPECTED MOMENT ARRIVED: THE CAIXABANK GRAND PRIX
The competition will finish epically at CSI 4* of A Coruñawith the fight over the CaixaBank Grand Prix. From 4:45 p.m., the sand of the outdoor track of Casas Novas will be, for a few moments, where the focus of the international equestrian world will be kept. During the GP, the local riders will also compete for the Tyco Trophyto the best Spanish rider qualified.
