Casas Novas horse-riding center hosted one of the biggest competitions of equestrian sport in Spain, the seventh stage of the European League of the World Cup and that was felt at all levels in the contest.
Free tickets weren´t available since several days before the event at all distribution points, thus showing how Galician people’s interest on horse jumping is growing every year due to contests like this one which allow supporters to see top ranking riders and horsewoman live.
A Coruña celebrated for the first time a stage of the Longines World Cup and that was noticed in the level of technique of the test and in the expectation created between the Galician supporters of the equestrian.
The difficulty of the course, designed by Santiago Varela, with 14 obstacles and 17 efforts was maximum with only six riders and one horsewoman qualified for the jump off of the 40 that concurred in the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping CaixaBank Trophy.
With the stands of Casas Novas already full, the last test of the CSI 2 *, the Tyco  Grand Prix has begun. The big one honored its name and offered a great competition, with a jump off between 7 riders, five of them Spanish.
The Spanish streak continued with another victory in the CSI 2 *, with the applauded triumph of the rider Luis Fernández Gil Fournier, who left first in the jump off and stopped the chrono at 36.85 seconds with Espinosa, a time that earned him the win of the test.
The first test of CSI 5 * on Sunday at Casas Novas highlighted for the tight and fierce classification, with up to seven riders separated by just one second.
The stands, completely full, could see the best riders of the 
contest in action, which resulted in a great competitiveness, for the enjoyment of
those present.
The Dutchman Maikel van der Vleuten was first, with a time of 23.88 seconds
with Salomon. The rider already demonstrated yesterday in the Massimo 
Dutti Trophy, with a second position, that he comes to compete in Casas Novas.
The local rider Manuel Añón showed that he knows the track of Casas Novas well, where he started riding from an early age, winning the Eroski Center Trophy with a time of 24.12 seconds with Tobias.
His participation in the contest is being fruitful, also getting yesterday a fifth place in the Trophy Porsche.
The big test of today's CSI 2 * at Casas Novas was held with a full on the stands of the track. The Galician public enjoyed more than half a hundred riders and horsewoman who competed for the victory.
The Belgian Ignace Philips rided soon with Dream of San Patrignano, circumstance that did not stop him to made a time of 54.78 seconds. A time that could not be lowered in the whole test. Philips already had good results in the last edition of the contest, with a third place in one of the tests of CSI 2 *.
The CSI 2 * of A Coruña continues with full of Spanish victories thanks to the triumph of Paloma Jiménez-Carmona in the Trophy Porsche, first test of the day of Saturday in Casas Novas.
The Spanish rider compited with Providence 3 and stopped the clock in 66.41 seconds without any penalty. Jiménez-Carmona, silver in the Spanish Championship of Young Riders of this year, already competed yesterday in the contest, getting two sixth positions in the Turkish Airlines Trophy and in the Marqués de Riscal Trophy.
The international jumping competition of Casas Novas began in a dazzling way, with a high level of riders, good results for the Spanish participants and a memorable performance of Lorenzo.
21 riders who competed in the big test of the day, the Massimo Dutti Trophy, competed for qualifying for the Sunday’s the World Cup. There were only place for 13, so they all have fight till the end.
With the stands practically complete, the CSI 5 * began at Casas Novas with the celebration of the NH Collection Trophy.
The trophy went to France, to the rider Mathieu Billot as a winner ridding the equine Radja des Fontaines with a time of 54.95 seconds. Billot continues with his good year-end, as he also had a great performance at the recent Madrid Horse Week.
Second test in Casas Novas and second Spanish victory, and also of a horsewoman.
Otti  Verdú confirmed her great year with a victory at the Marqués de Riscal Trophy of the CSI of A Coruña, where she stopped the chrono in 21.11 seconds with Top Lulu. The rider is living a sweet moment, since she has also recently been proclaimed as youth champion of horse riding in Madrid and comes from winning Madrid Horse Week Trophy.
The inaugural day of the CSI of Casas Novas has started with the celebration of the Turkish Airlines Trophy, the first opportunity to see the pairs on the arena of the equestrian center.
The competition, which began at 12:30 p.m., was played under the modality fault and time  and an obstacle height of 1.30 meters. In it competed thirty riders of eleven different countries, with great local presence and portuguese.
The equestrian atmosphere is starting to be felt around the city of A Coruña, Spain, where a large number of Casas Novas CSI 5* participants have already arrived and the invitations to attend the event are almost finished.
The Casas Novas equestrian center once again captures world equestrian attention during the celebration of the CSI5 -W A Coruña, which will take place from 9 to 11 December.
One of the great novelties of this edition is its inclusion as the seventh stage in the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping of the Western European league. This incorporation is a milestone in the Spanish circuit, which, so far, only counted as a competition with the Madrid Horse Week.
Horse-jumping supporters have this weekend at Casas Novas a unique opportunity to see up close and compete with each other to the best binomials of the circuit.
One of the star appointments is undoubtedly the Longines Grand Prix, which will be attended by the most laureates riders and horsewomen of the circuit already enrolled in the list of participants, which has national champions, Olympic participants, winners of past editions and the more fit binomials.
Casas Novas begins with the preparations for the celebration, from 9 to 11 December, of the thirty-third edition of the International Jumping Competition of A Coruña  which, for the first time, will host a Longines FEI World Jumping Cup.
The XXXIII edition of the CSI A Coruña is closer and presents several novelties. The most important is that the Longines FEI WOrld Cup Jumping comes to Casas Novas and will bring the most important riders of the world. Also, on Friday night there will be an incredible show of Lorenzo.
The XXXIII edition of the CSI A Coruña will host the first Longines FEI World Cup Jumping, being the seventh stage of the series. The best riders on the international ranking will compete in Galician the indoor arena. At the same time will be a CSI2 *.
